The Thursday Post for April 29, 2010

Salutations CVES families,
Thank you for your support of our annual Screen on the Green Event.  We had over 500 people in attendance and thank teacher Steve Johnson for spearheading this effort along with his many staff supporters. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, was a big hit for adults and kids alike!

Yesterday we held our annual Kindergarten Safari.  This event gives parents and future Kindergartners the opportunity to explore Creek View and to preview the classroom experience.
Today is a spectacular day for the K-2 Field Day and tomorrow promises to be just a beautiful for our 3-5 teams. Thanks you for the donations of snacks and drinks as well as coming out to support your child's classroom.  Please read the latest PTA Newsletter and note that the May Calendar and Menu are also available.  There is still room to sign your child up for our one-of-a-kind drama camp this summer; an experience that will boost your child's confidence and enjoyment of public speaking.

Thursday Post: March 4, Comes in like and lion...

The March wind roars
Like a lion in the sky,
And makes us shiver
As he passes by.

When winds are soft,
And the days are warm and clear,
Just like a gentle lamb,
Then spring is here."

March will be a very busy month at Creek View.  The Raider Mentors 'Tutor-A-Thon', Spring Picture Day, report cards, the famous Basket Raffle, and the Fifth Grade Rock Eagle trip are all occurring in this month.

Parent Perception Survey-Now Available

The Fulton County Schools’ Annual Parent Perception Survey begins today!

www.fultonschools.org/surveys/ParentPerceptionSurvey2009-10.htm
Your opinions are important to us!

The Fulton County School System invites you to spend a few minutes giving your input during its annual Parent Perception Survey. The survey runs from March 1 through April 2, and the answers you provide will be used for school improvement planning.

A perception survey measures how you feel about different aspects of your child’s overall education in Fulton County, rather than gathering information about individual teachers or your school’s performance. Please be assured that your identity and that of your child cannot and will not be shared with any school official. Your answers will be combined with those of other parents and shared with teachers and the principal for school improvement planning. Your identity and that of your child will remain confidential.

If you have questions about the survey, please call the Assessment and Accountability Division at 404-763-4598. Thank you for your feedback.

The Thursday Post for January 28

Dear Parents,
Shakespeare is in our midst as the annual student performance commences this Thursday. This year students perform the tragedy, Julius Caesar. Our active Environmental Committee received the "Idling Free School" designation for Creek View which means we, as a school reduced our carbon emission by reducing idling time in carpool! The newest effort to improve our world involves recycling your old kitchen towels in support of the Southern Hope Humane Society.Thank you for supporting this effort. Our Hats for Haiti Day raised over $2500 and our children are proud of the contributions they made.
Dads and Donuts
This Dads and Donuts will be organized by last name.  This means a dad can take all of their children at the same time.  See the flyer below for details.

ROCK EAGLE
5th Graders must have their Rock Eagle field trip permission slips in no later than February 4.

Fulton County Schools maintain the FCSTV Channel 24
