The Thursday Post for November 12

Dear Parents,
We hope to see our entire Creek View family at the Fall Festival/Carnival this Saturday.  The weather is going to cooperate, ensuring a wonderful outdoor-family-event. Please enjoy the fruits of our collective labors by visiting all of the classroom booths, and the many other exciting activities for children. The students are very excited about the prospect of seeing their friends and teachers on the weekend! Creek View is collecting food items for the North Fulton Community Charities. Please allow your student to bring canned fruits and vegetables, boxed meals, plastic containers of peanut butter and jellies, cereals, quart ziplock bags, and diapers.  Anything non-perishable is welcomed. Student Council members are in the rotunda daily to collect and store items.  Thanks for supporting this worthwhile cause.  The NFCC is serving about 125 families each day through the food bank. Please take the time to read the invitation to the Internet Safety program. This is an issue of concern to every parent and student in the digital age. We hope to see you at the parent session.

  • Idling costs you money
A popular misconception is that idling your car uses less gas than turning it off and restarting. The truth is, if you are going to be sitting more than 30 seconds, it is more fuel efficient to turn your engine off. Idling also causes more wear and tear on engine parts.

Please support Creek View’s No-Idling Zone and turn your car off while waiting to pick up your child(ren). Then we can all breathe easier. To learn more about air pollution, its effects and what you can do, visit CleanAirCampaign.org.

Dear Parents,
The canned food drive starts Monday! It is a Student Council service project.  Please show your support for student council and for the Roswell food pantry by sending in several cans with your child. Remember to simplify your life by taking advantage of the PTA offer to buy wrist bands for the Fall Festival. Be sure to read the latest Cheetah Chat posted below in the flyers section.

2nd and 3rd grade parents can access grade level newsletters below and 4th and 5th grade parents who think their child might like to try out for the Spring Shakespeare performance should download, print and complete the application flyer.

The Thursday Post for October 15

It's been a week of schedule changes from textbook scanning to vision and hearing screening. Today is Boss' Day and the staff is celebrating our wonderful leadership in Matt Rogers, Principal and Betty Swanson the Assistant Principal! The PTA is busily planning and preparing for a wonderful Fall Festival, November 14.  Be sure to block off 12-4PM for a day of family fun.  The new affordable wrist band admission should be a big time and money saver for families.  Read the flyers for details.

Screen on the Green is a week from this Friday, on October 23 at CVES.  Kung Fu Panda will be shown free of charge!  All concessions $1.  Families welcome.

Attention Bus Riders: Bus Driver Appreciation day is Monday, October 21. This is an opportunity to teach thoughtfulness and appreciation for people who provide services in our community.
