The Thursday Post for January 28

Dear Parents,
Shakespeare is in our midst as the annual student performance commences this Thursday. This year students perform the tragedy, Julius Caesar. Our active Environmental Committee received the "Idling Free School" designation for Creek View which means we, as a school reduced our carbon emission by reducing idling time in carpool! The newest effort to improve our world involves recycling your old kitchen towels in support of the Southern Hope Humane Society.Thank you for supporting this effort. Our Hats for Haiti Day raised over $2500 and our children are proud of the contributions they made.
Dads and Donuts
This Dads and Donuts will be organized by last name.  This means a dad can take all of their children at the same time.  See the flyer below for details.

ROCK EAGLE
5th Graders must have their Rock Eagle field trip permission slips in no later than February 4.

Fulton County Schools maintain the FCSTV Channel 24

For the sixth consecutive year, students at Creek View Elementary School are performing Shakespeare.

For most students, the first opportunity to perform Shakespeare is in high school. This very unique elementary school production is made possible by the creative energies of a public-private partnership. Director Allen O’Reilly of Georgia Shakespeare with support from Assistant Director Marc Barrett of Creek View Elementary School will lead this production.

The students will perform Julius Caesar at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at Creek View.

The Thursday Post for January 14

Hello Creek View Families,

This week we have been fortunate to have an upturn in the temperature and some beautiful days outdoors for recess!

When your child is absent from school, Fulton CO policy requires a signed note from the parent OR a doctor’s note. Emails to the teacher are a nice way to keep them aware (if the teacher is not absent themselves) however the attendance office requires proper protocol. Thank you.

REFLECTIONS Participants Reception Friday morning at 7:15 in the gym for  parents as well.

In Haiti, the former home of two of the men on our custodial staff and home to their extended families, the citizens are suffering due to major earthquake devastation.  CVES is planning to have a Hat Day in show of support for the people of Haiti. Look for stickers and or flyers confirming the date, soon!
